friend: When we walk out in the sunlight we tell everyone we know it hurts our eyes when the real reason we don't like it, is that it makes us feel like we're dying.
me: that's very..... Poetic (:
friend: heard that in a song today. kind of stuck with me.
me: I can see why. It's very intriguing.
friend: I wish I had taken credit for it.
me: haha, no use. I figured it had come from a song. It had too much rhythm to it to be normal conversation.
friend: I like to think I talk in a certain rhythm.
me: well, everyone has a unique rhythm to their writing. We call it their "voice". What I really meant was that the rhythm in that text didn't match your natural cadence. But I figured that was a bit technical for normal conversation. lol (:
friend: That was so my cadence.
me: That just begs me to dissect your cadence and compare it to that text.
This is why I can't be anything except an English teacher.
